I am a freelance copy editor and proofreader with experience of working with both print and online content for scientific journals and books. My areas of particular specialism and experience include environmental science, geology, climate science, geography, ecology and oceanography. I have also worked on publications in several other of fields of scientific research.

I have a BSc (Hons) degree in Environmental Sciences and have been working as a freelance copy editor since 2011, before which I held an in-house position as a copy editor for an international STM publisher. During this time I have copy edited several hundred journal research papers, articles and books. I have also passed the NCTJ Preliminary Certificate in Journalism and have completed several courses in copy editing and proofreading.

I communicate well with authors and colleagues, and have a very thorough and organised approach to my work.
